Electric 3-phase/ 1-Phase Operated Door Specification: The electrically operated fire shutters have a soldered fusible link designed to melt at 68oC in a fire condition separating and releasing the shutter curtain allowing the shutter to close in a controlled manner. Testing of the door is done manually as is opening and closing the door, using a 415-volt 3-phase 50Hz motor drive. Or single phase if required. Emergency operation is via a manual hand chain. The shutter curtain is made of 75mm 20swg curved galvanised steel solid interlocking slats, with steel end locks. A Galvanised steel T-rail is attached to the bottom of the curtain for added strength. The steel support angle flags are 75mm x 50mm x 6mm with the galvanised steel guide runner rails 65mm x 32mm x 3mm.

The barrel is constructed from high quality mild steel tube with internal helical torsion springs, mounted on a steel shaft bearing blocks, incorporating high-speed bearings at each end. The complete assembly is encased by a galvanised hood.

Manual Drop Bar Release Fire Shutter

Door Specification: Manual spring operated, certified 120 minute fire resisting roller shutter door tested to BS: 476, part 22: 1987 at Warrington Fire Research Establishment. Door to be constructed to WARRES No.192095 utilising 75mm galvanised curved steel laths coiling around a steel barrel complete with a dummy end unit. All supported via mild steel endplates fixed to mild steel fixing angles complete with galvanised steel guide channels. Folded chamfered galvanised sheet metal firehood will house the shutter coil. Operation will be via a counter balanced spring assisted axel. Activation will be via a drop weight that is released once the fusible link reaches the required temperature. This roller shutter is not for everyday use and can’t be locked for security.
